Hi, I’m Bruce McGee and I’m currently a city council member for the city of Laurel. I’m a real estate broker, husband, father, and volunteer in our community. When I’m not working, I’m volunteering for various organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the City of Laurel Police Department. In my spare time I enjoy visiting my grandchildren, hunting or hiking this gorgeous country we live in.
I want to be Mayor of Laurel because I truly believe a difference can be made. Our city has the ability to provide a great community and family life for its citizens as long as the government listens to the people and works together with them to improve. Government doesn’t have to be run like a monolithic creature that cannot pivot and address problems quickly and efficiently. It won’t happen overnight, but we need to do a better job communicating with you, the citizens and tax payers, to find out how to provide the best services, schools, and neighborhoods in Montana. We are not a large metro and that is a strength as we can focus and pivot more rapidly than a larger city can. We in the city government need to step up and align goals with our businesses and citizens to prosper.
I humbly ask for your vote for Mayor in the upcoming election. In the meantime, I would love it if you fill out the contact form on my website with ideas and requests that the city needs to know about. If I’m elected, expect me to clearly communicate priorities and needs and your feedback is extremely important in that mission.
I am convinced all problems have solutions when people work together for the common good of all.Bruce McGee
